Land-Rover Series Club

The second installment of the Autumn Leaves event took place at and around Horovice on 20th October 2012. This leaf-sprung Land-Rover event basically closes off the season prior to the road-salty winter.

The meeting commenced at 10:00 AM with an exhibition within an enclosed courtyard of the Hořovice chateau, which was organized in cooperation with the site administration, for whose willingness to help we would like to express our gratitude. The courtyard is on the walking route of many families walking their dogs (and kids), therefore the lined-up vehicles provided an extra benefit to their walks.

At 12:30 PM, after most visitors participated in a special tour of the chateau's private apartments, we lined up for the greenlaning trip. We gradually made an almost complete circle around Horovice through the very nice landscape there and finished at the organizers' home at Drozdov, where a much-welcome barbeque and chat ensued.

Weather was relatively kind to us - although the sun did not manage to bite through the fog, it didn't rain. The lanes were neither dusty or too wet and muddy, so conditions were nearly ideal.

There is not much to add except a big thank you to all the seventeen drivers and crews of the participating vehicles for coming to the event and enduring the bumpy ride in that magnificent column, which we managed to form - it was a great view in the rear-mirror!
