The 2nd LRSC Meeting at Trebic
The second club meeting took place on a particularly hot weekend of 17th-19th August 2012, based in the pleasant surroundings of the Jihlava river, at the Pousov campsite close to Trebic, Czech Republic.
The meeting started already on Friday, with the arrival of first participants. The weather from the beginning signalled very sunny conditions, so everyone was sufficiently motivated to climb the hill and do a hands-on tour of the local mini-brewery and private Jaguare museum in downtown Trebic.
Saturday morning saw the remaining participants arriving, and just after 10:00 AM we were off for a greenlaning trip through the magnificent landscape surrounding the city. Sunny weather secured a general lack of mud, but also brought about especially dusty conditions, espacially along some sections of the route. The route catered for the tastes of everyone - points of interest included a 600-year old maple tree off Vestonovice, the impressive Rokstejn castle and a trout barbeque.
The meeting concluded on Sunday with a group visit to a private historical machinery collection of Mr. Wimmer at Telc, which includes a Land-Rover S1 among its many interesting exhibits.
